Made Of Stone (original artwork description)

A bold, vibrant celebration of The Stone Roses and the Manchester music scene, this original acrylic painting brings together iconic imagery, colour and symbolism inspired by the band and their hometown.

Painted in a striking palette of electric blue, fiery orange, vivid yellow, red, black and white, the artwork captures the energy and attitude of the Madchester era. The composition features stylised portraits of The Stone Roses alongside unmistakable Manchester references, including the legendary FAC51 Hacienda and the Manchester worker bee, a symbol of the city’s spirit, creativity and industrial heritage.

Graphic lemons, mod motifs, expressive linework and paint splatteres add a contemporary street-art feel, while the bold typography and collage-inspired composition give the piece a distinctive retro Manchester aesthetic.

Hand-painted in acrylic on canvas, this is an original artwork created for lovers of The Stone Roses, Manchester music history and statement contemporary art.

A striking piece for a living room, music room, studio or anywhere that calls for a little Manchester attitude.
